Prime Minister visits Acting Chief Prelate of the Atamasthana

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya received blessings from the Acting Chief Prelate of the Atamasthana, the Most Venerable Ethalawatunuwewe Gnanathilaka Thera, during a visit yesterday (10).

The Prime Minister was in the North Central Province at the time to inspect schools in the area.

During the meeting, the Acting Chief Prelate invoked blessings on the Government’s new initiatives and delivered a brief sermon highlighting the importance of educating the public on education policies, government policies and agricultural policies.

Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development Wasantha Samarasinghe, Member of Parliament for the Anuradhapura District, also attended.
