New train service introduced between Polgahawela and Peradeniya

The Railway Department has introduced a new train service between Polgahawela and Peradeniya to facilitate schoolchildren and other passengers travelling on that stretch.

Train services between Kankesanthurai and Gampola resumed on October 2 and are currently operating as usual, according to the Department of Railways. The new service was introduced alongside the resumption of train operations to improve travel convenience for passengers travelling along the route.
