Prime Minister participates in National AI Expo 2026 second-day inauguration

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya took part in the official inauguration of the second day of National AI Expo 2026 on 30 September at the Monarch Imperial. The exhibition was held under the theme AI Amplified.

The Ministry of Digital Economy and SLT-MOBITEL jointly organised the exhibition, giving students an opportunity to engage with developments in the field of artificial intelligence.

More than 60 speakers from 16 countries joined representatives from government, industry, startups and academia at the two-day event on 29 and 30 September to showcase products, debate policy and accelerate AI adoption across Sri Lanka.

The Prime Minister visited the industrial and educational exhibition stalls while at the event.
