Nearly 550 Polish tourists arrive in Sri Lanka on three Enter Air flights
Polish airline Enter Air brought nearly 550 tourists from Poland to Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake today (6) on three special flights, launching the airline’s flight series for the 2026/2027 European winter tourism season.
The flights, operated with Boeing 737 aircraft, arrived from Katowice, Poznań and Warsaw at 6.51 a.m., 7.40 a.m. and 9.40 a.m., respectively.
A special welcome ceremony was organised at the airport, where the tourists were greeted with traditional Sri Lankan cultural performances.
The flight programme will continue until April 2, 2027, with flights scheduled every ten days from the three Polish cities. A total of 42 flights are planned during this period.
The programme is expected to strengthen Sri Lanka’s tourism ties with Poland, increase tourist arrivals and generate economic benefits for the country’s tourism industry. Sri Lanka has remained a popular holiday destination among Polish tourists, particularly during the European winter season, attracting visitors with its beaches, cultural heritage sites, wildlife parks and scenic hill country.
