(NewsRadio); Sri Lanka’s Yupun Abeykoon won the 200m Men’s event at the Florence Sprint Festival Relays after clocking 20.60s in the final.
He beat two Italians to win the event at the Stadio Luigi Ridolfi in Firenze, Italy.
Marco Ricci finished second behind Abeykoon after clocking 20.88s while his countryman Francesco Libera finished third with the timing of 21.08s.
Yupun Abeykoon who has been in tremendous form in the 100m dashed will improve his work rankings with the win in Firenze.
Abeykoon is ranked 19th in the world among 100m runners.
