(NewsRadio); Director-General of the World Trade Organisation Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has assured President Ranil Wickremesinghe that the WTO is hoping to assist Sri Lanka in its economic recovery.
During a meeting with President Wickremesinghe, WTO Director-General Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has said the Organisation is paying close attention to the situation in Sri Lanka.
The meeting between the two leaders was held on the sidelines of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Egypt.
President Wickremesinghe met several world leaders today in in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
The Sri Lankan delegation headed by President left the island last evening to Egypt. President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to address the COP27 summit tomorrow.
