COLOMBO (NewsRadio); World’s largest passenger aircraft A-380 landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport this morning.
The Airport Duty Manager said the aircraft A-380 operated by Emirates Airlines landed at the BIA for refueling purposes at around 3.10am.
The flight en route to Dubai from Auckland was carrying 413 passengers and 29 crew.
Although the aircraft remained on the tarmac for approximately one hour and 45 minutes, passengers did not disembark.
This is the third occasion that the A-380 had landed at the BIA with last being in 2019 before the COVID-19 crisis.
