COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The World Bank has assured to continuously support Sri Lanka’s reform agenda to protect the poor and vulnerable.
The assurance was given during a meeting between State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe and World Bank Country Director for Sri Lanka Faris H Hadad-Zervos.
State Minister Semasinghe said two parties held talks on the progress of the Aswesuma welfare programme and several other matters.
Meanwhile, last week, President Ranil Wickremesinghe held discussions with the President of the World Bank Ajay Banga and other World Bank officials at the World Bank Headquarters in New York.
During the meeting, the World Bank Chief also assured to support Sri Lanka to stabilize the economy and ensure sustainable growth.
