The National People’s Power says it is not prepared to consider any proposal to resolve the current crisis until the Head of State resigns.
Speaking Parliament today, Leader of the NPP Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressed his willingness to engage in discussions subject to the above condition.
MP Dissanayake said there are two main causes for the public struggle, one being the immediate resignation of the President.
He said it must be understood that this is not the ideology of an opposition party but the entire public.

He added no such proposals will result in any positive solutions.
