The Department of Meteorology predicts a low-pressure area over north of Andaman Sea has moved west-northwestward, and concentrated into a depression this morning over the southeast adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal, close to west of Andaman Islands.
The Department said it is very likely to move northwestward and intensify further into a deep depression over the east-central and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal. Subsequently, it is very likely to move North northeastwards and cross Bangladesh coast around Tuesday (25).
Wind speeds will be 40-50kmph and can increase up to 60-80kmph in sea areas between (10N – 20N) and (85E – 100E).
Heavy showers or thundershowers and rough or very rough seas can be expected in aforementioned sea areas.
