Specialist at the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Dr. Pradeep de Silva says there are several shortcomings in the vaccination programme of expectant women.
Speaking to media Dr. de Silva said expectant women can obtain the vaccine against COVID-19 at the respective Medical Office of Health or the nearest hospital.
He expressed disappointment at shortcomings in the vaccination drive of expectant women, adding that if they are not opposed to receiving the vaccine, they should be administered the dose.
Dr. de Silva claimed expectant women have the right to request to be vaccinated.
