The United States Deputy Assistant Secretary of Treasury for Asia Robert Kaproth has arrived in Sri Lanka.
During his stay Kaproth will meet government representatives and economic leaders.
Discussions will be centred around the way forward on economic recovery in Sri Lanka.
Kaproth was among the high-level delegates representing the US Treasury Department and the US State Department that visited Sri Lanka earlier in June this year.

Meanwhile, soon after his arrival in the country, the Deputy Assistant Secretary engaged in discussions on reforms of state-owned enterprises and the petroleum and power sectors with Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera.
Robert Kaproth stated that these changes are necessary to strengthen Sri Lanka’s economy.
Minister Wijesekera said discussions were also held on policies, debt restructuring, fuel management systems and petroleum products procurement with the visiting Deputy Assistant Secretary.
