COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha says the cut-off marks for university admissions based on the 2021 GCE Advanced Level Examination results will be released as soon as possible.
Speaking in Parliament today, Minister Premajayantha said he is hoping to release the cut-off marks in the next three weeks.
The Minister added that they are also hoping to reduce the duration of school holidays and complete the syllabus on time, next year.
The Education Minister said that will provide an opportunity to conduct the O/L and A/L exams as per usual.
He said as a precursor, the Ministry is hoping to release the cut-off marks promptly and clear that hurdle.
Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha also confirmed that he has presented a Cabinet paper which is expected to be taken up during Monday’s Cabinet meeting in relation to tax on school equipment.
