The United Arab Emirates says it will ease the ban imposed on transit flights originating from Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan from tomorrow.
Accordingly, the ban imposed by the UAE on fully vaccinated individuals with permanent residency who have travelled to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria or Uganda within the past 14 days will be lifted.
However, transit passengers must submit a PCR test report to confirm that they have not been infected with the coronavirus.
The UAE took steps last April to ban the entry of all arrivals including transit passengers into the country as the spread of the coronavirus increased in the South Asian region.
