(NewsRadio); The Sri Lanka Navy has foiled another illegal migration attempt.

The Police Media Division said two women and five children were taken into custody by the Sri Lanka Navy in Talaimannar.

Officials suspect they were attempting to flee to India in a boat.

The arrested group includes two 30-year-old women and children aged, three, six, eight, 10 and 13.

They are residents of Kilinochchi. The group has been handed over to the Talaimannar Police.
