Two sisters dead due to a fire in Kayts

Two persons in their 70s have died following a fire at the back of a house in Kayts.

(NewsRadio); Two persons in their 70s have died following a fire at the back of a house in Kayts.

The Police Media Division said the two sisters, aged 72 and 74 died in the incident.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

The corpses are currently placed at the Jaffna Hospital while the Kayts Police is conducting further investigations over the incident.
