Two individuals have been arrested with over 2,000 narcotic pills, while selling the pills at a pharmacy in Negombo.
The raid was conducted based on a tipoff received by the Negombo Police, with the assistance of officials attached to the National Medicines Regulatory Authority.
The 28 and 19-year-old suspects, residents of Negombo and Welihena, are due to be produced before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court today.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Negombo Police.
