The Navy said a suspicious vessel was identified attempting to evade a search and hurled several sacks into the sea before the vessel was intercepted.
A search operation of the vessel led to the seizure of the stock of Kerala cannabis.
It is suspected that the smugglers transferred the stock of cannabis at the International Maritime Boundary Line with the intention of smuggling them into the island.

The 22 and 26 year old suspects have been handed over to the Point Pedro Police for legal action.
