Authorities within the health and education sectors are due to hold discussions and resume academic activities in all schools for students in Primary sections and Grade 11 and 13.

The President’s Media Division said the COVID-19 Prevention Task Force that convened today also deliberated on the possibility of allowing tuition classes to function once again.

Meanwhile, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has emphasised the importance of vaccinating all eligible groups of people promptly.

According to the PMD, the decision to lift inter-provincial travel restrictions was taken based on several requests made by the general public.
