Three individuals have been arrested for allegedly attacking and setting fire to houses of Members of Parliament on the 9th of May, and damaging private property.
The Western Province-North Anti-Vice Unit arrested an individual for attacking and damaging the residence of Parliamentarian Lasantha Alagiyawanna in Kirindiwela, on the 9th of May.
The suspect is a 43-year-old resident of Kirindiwela. Meanwhile, another individual has been apprehended for attacking the residence of Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa in Malabe.
Police said the suspect is a 37-year-old resident of Hokandara.
The Malabe Police is investigating the incident.
Furthermore, an individual has been arrested for attacking and setting fire to the house and the office of MP Arundika Fernando in Dankotuwa on the 9th of May.
The suspect is a 45-year-old resident of Dankotuwa. The Dankotuwa Police is conducting further investigation.
