Sri Lanka Railways informs that trains will not function between Anuradhapura and Vavuniya for a period of five months from the 5th of January.
The Department said trains will ply only from Colombo, Fort to Anuradhapura, adding that buses have been scheduled to transport passengers from Anuradhapura to Vavuniya.
The Railway Department added that the ‘Yalrani’ train plying between Kankesanthurai-Murukkandi will continue to operate till Vavuniya during the five month period.
