COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Professionals’ Trade Union Collective says it is scheduled to hold another meeting today to discuss the steps that can be taken against the recent tax amendments.

The union said representatives of several trade unions attached to the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and the Ceylon Electricity Board are scheduled to attend the meeting today.

Last week, unions staged a token strike demanding the government to withdraw the recent tax amendment which they claim is unreasonable and unfair.
