Tokyo 2020: China continues to top Medals Table

China continues to top the Medals Table of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games in Japan with six gold, two silver and four bronze medals.

Hosts Japan remains second in the standings with six gold medals including three in Judo and two in skateboarding events, a silver and a bronze medal.

The United States has won five golds, three silvers and four bronze medals and is ranked third.

Australia added another swimming gold medal this morning to rise to the fourth position in the Medals Table.

Australia has won two golds, one silver and three bronze medals while South Korea is placed fifth with two golds and three bronze medals.

14 other countries have also won gold medals at this year’s Olympic Games thus far.

42 nations in total have secured at least one medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games which officially commenced on Friday.

Neighbours India has won a silver medal in Weightlifting and is currently placed 25th in the standings.
