COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Department of Meteorology predicts several spells of showers in the Northern, North-Central and Eastern provinces today.
The Met Department said showers or thundershowers can also be expected in a few places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces during the afternoon or night.
Meanwhile, the general public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
