COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Department of Meteorology predicts showers or thundershowers in several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western, Central and Eastern provinces and in the Mullaitivu, Vavuniya and Polonnaruwa districts during the evening or night.
The Met Department said a few showers can be expected in the western coastal areas and in the Galle and Matara districts during the morning as well.
Meanwhile, the general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers
