COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Department of Meteorology predicts showers or thundershowers at a few places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon or night.
Meanwhile, the general public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
The Met Department added that due to the northward relative motion, the sun will be directly over Mankulam, Periyakulam, Kuratiyawa, Morawewa and Mahadiwlwewa at around 12:11pm today.
