COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Scheduled power cuts will continue today (25) as well.

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has approved a request by the Ceylon Electricity Board to impose two-hour-and-20-minute power cuts in all residential areas.

The CEB had requested to increase the power cut duration from yesterday citing the unavailability of Old Laxapana Stage 1, the lack of fuel at Westcoast, and the sudden increase in demand.

Accordingly, groups ABCDEFGHIJKLPQRSTUVW will experience a one-hour power cut during the day and one-hour-and-20-minute disruption at night today.
