COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Tamil National Alliance is scheduled to meet President Ranil Wickremesinghe today to continue discussions to solve the national issue.
TNA Parliamentarian Selvam Adaikalanathan informed NewsRadio that the delegation which includes TNA Leader R Sampanthan, MPs MA Sumanthiran and Dharmalingam Siddarthan, former MP Mavai Senathirajah and himself will meet the President at 5pm to discuss three main topics.
Discussions will be held pertaining to releasing occupied lands in the North and East, the implementation of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution and a comprehensive political solution to the national issue.
The TNA delegation met with the President on two previous occasions.
Accordingly, matters discussed during the precious two meetings will also be deliberated.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe last year announced that he wants to find a permanent solution to the national issue before the 75th Independence Day celebrations.
Accordingly, President Wickremesinghe invited all parties to discuss the matter extensively and agree on a sustainable and permanent solution.
