Three new visa categories for investors & workers of Colombo Port City

The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to introduce three new visa categories for investors and workers who are expected to be part of the Colombo Port City operations.

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to introduce three new visa categories for investors and workers who are expected to be part of the Colombo Port City operations.

Accordingly approval has been granted to introduce, the ‘Investment VISA’ category for investors under residential visa category, ‘Employment VISA’ for employees and the ‘CPC residential property lease vendor’ visa category for foreigners who reside within the Colombo Port City on lease.

The proposal in this regard was submitted by the Minister of Public Security.

The Department of Immigration and Emigration will issue the visas to investors and other relevant parties expected to arrive for various services with the Colombo Port City such as international trade, navel and monitoring, financial, information technology and tourism.
