Parliament will convene only one day this week, due to the prevailing coronavirus situation in the country.
Speaking to NewsRadio, Serjeant-at-arms Narendra Fernando said the decision was reached at this morning’s party leaders’ meeting.
Parliament will accordingly convene at 10am tomorrow.
The opposition called for the suspension of this week’s Parliament sittings after several Members of Parliament and Parliament staff members tested positive for COVID-19 during the past few days.
