The Association of Health Professionals says a risk of another coronavirus wave is imminent due to certain Ministers attempts to force prosperity.

Speaking at a media briefing this morning, the President of the Association Ravi Kumudesh said allowing unlimited tourists into the country is dangerous.

He said through such actions, another coronavirus wave will emerge in the country in three months.

Kumudesh said Russian studies have revealed that the coronavirus vaccines are effective for six months, adding the efficacy of vaccines is being studied world over at present.

He claimed that coronavirus variants respond differently to vaccines, adding that it is a known fact that being fully vaccinated will not prevent an individual from contracting the virus.

He said the virus continues to be contagious and therefore noted that having considered these facts, it can be determined that COVID is on a temporary break.

He reiterated that how the public and officials act will determine another COVID wave.
