The Minister of Health says the government has taken steps to import 100 tonnes of oxygen.
Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi speaking at a media briefing said, oxygen will be imported weekly from India for treatment centres, beginning from next week.
It was stated that steps will be taken to import oxygen from Singapore as well, if the need arises.
The Health Minister noted that home quarantine for individuals who test positive for COVID-19 will commence across the island from next Friday.
