(NewsRadio); An 18-year-old girl has died after drowning in seas off Kirinda this morning.
Police said another 18-year-old who was swept away by currents still remains missing.
A total of four persons, one male and three females were swept away by currents near the Kirinda temple but two of them were rescued by area residents.
Another person who was rescued and rushed to the Kirinda Hospital succumbed upon admission.
Both the deceased and the missing 18-year-old girls are residents of Bibile.
The duo met with the incident while on an excursion to Kirinda from Bibile.
A search operation is underway to locate the missing girl.
