Presidential Advisor on Climate Change Ruwan Wijewardena says productive discussions have been held with the Green Climate Fund.
The former Deputy Minister said fruitful discussions were held with Green Climate Fund to seek technical and financial assistance for renewable energy plans in Sri Lanka.
The discussions were also attended by Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera on the sidelines of the COP 27 climate change conference in Egypt.
Minister Wijesekera meanwhile also held discussions with representatives of the OPEC Fund for International Development, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), ACWA Power, Mitsubishi, and other developers, technical and funding agencies linked to renewable energy to seek technical and financial assistance for renewable energy plans in Sri Lanka.
