MELBOURNE (NewsRadio); Pakistan was restricted for a below par 137/8 in 20 overs by England in the Final of the 2022 Twenty20 World Cup in Melbourne.
After opting to bowl first, the English picked wickets at regular intervals to limit the scoring of the Pakistanis from the outset.
Shan Masood top scored with 38 off 28 deliveries while skipper Babar Azam hit 32 from 28 balls.
Rest of the Pakistani batters faltered before the clinical bowling of the English attack.
Sam Curran finished with 3/12 while Adil Rashid and Chris Jordon picked up two wickets apiece.
