New Zealand has won the all-important toss and elected to field first against England in the semi-final of the Twenty20 World Cup in Abu Dhabi.

Skipper Kane Williamson did not hesitate to bat considering the dew factor which has affected several teams defending totals in the Middle East.

New Zealand named an unchanged XI for the game. Williamson at the toss said, “Today’s a great occasion, looking forward to getting involved. England are always strong; depth is one of their strengths. We must focus on the cricket we want to play.”

Meanwhile, England named Sam Billings in the playing XI in place of injured Jason Roy. Jonny Bairstow will however open the batting with in-form Jos Buttler. England captain Eoin Morgan said he would’ve liked to field first as well.

He said, “NZ are an extremely strong side, not newcomers to finals and semi-finals, they’ve been doing it a lot longer than we have.”
