COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Importers say the prices of steel have declined by around 50 per cent this year.
Large-scale importers have indicated that the prices quoted at the early part of 2023 have dwindled in the past few months.
They attribute the steel price reduction to the appreciation of the Sri Lankan Rupee against the US Dollar and the decline in prices in the world market.
