Police have recorded statements from five individuals who previously served as domestic workers at the residence of Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen.
Police said investigations revealed that 11 women have worked at the MPs residence since 2010.
Statements were recorded from five women. Police said all 11 persons are from the Dayagama area.
Investigations into the death of a 16-year-old girl who died of burn injuries while working as a domestic helper at MP Bathiudeen’s residence is continuing.
Police said the remains of the girl will be exhumed by a team of Judicial Medical Officers for a second post mortem examination under the supervision of the Nuwara-Eliya Magistrate.
A three-member specialist committee has been appointed to conduct the second post-mortem examination.
