State Minister Vidura Wickramanayaka says there is a suspicion as to whether the laws have been enforced against those who have been accused of various crimes including the Easter Sunday terror attack.

Speaking to media after an event in Kandy, State Minister Wickramanayaka said the government will suffer the same fate as the United National Party-led government if the public’s trust in the present administration is lost.

The State Minister said the current political climate has changed adding humanity, decisions and orders too can be bought.

He said President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was voted in to power by a majority under this situation expecting one country one law.

State Minister Wickramanayaka said perpetrators of crimes including the controversial Central Bank Bond issuance were not brought to justice claiming some of the main suspects are now in Parliament.

The State Minister said they have a concern on these matters adding the public also have these concerns. He added the public’s patience will run out and will reach decisions accordingly.
