SriLankan Airlines has once again been summoned before the Committee on Public Enterprises.
COPE Chairman Parliamentarian Prof. Charitha Herath said national carrier has been summoned before the COPE to inquire into its current performance.
Accordingly, SriLankan Airlines was scheduled to appear before the COPE Committee at 10am today.
On 19th April, the COPE Chairman in Parliament said SriLankan Airlines will be summoned before the COPE to inquire into its bidding process for the lease of 21 aircrafts.
A special report will be tabled in Parliament next week after a prompt inquiry into the bidding process.
Officials including the Secretary of the Subject Ministry, the Chairman of SriLankan Airlines, and the Board of Directors will appear before the COPE.
Officials failed to appear before the Committee on the 20th of April when summoned previously.
