COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The daily demand for fuel in the country continues to remain low.
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has attributed the reduction in demand to the drop in consumption, the QR code system which limits the issuance of fuel and the on-going economic crisis.
The CPC said the fuel consumption has reduced by about 50 per cent in the last few months of 2022, compared to the first few months of the year.
Meanwhile, the domestic fuel prices are expected to be reduced in the next few months.
Although crude oil prices increased considerably during the height of the Ukraine war, the prices in the international market have come down while the rates are expected to decrease further in the next few months.
