Sri Lanka’s COVID deaths go past 4,000

The number of COVID-19 related deaths confirmed in Sri Lanka has exceeded the 4,000-mark.

The number of COVID-19 related deaths confirmed in Sri Lanka has exceeded the 4,000-mark.

Another 43 COVID-19 related fatalities were confirmed in the country, raising the death toll to 4,002.

The Director General of Health Services in a statement said all 43 deaths occured yesterday.

Among the deceased, 22 were males above the age of 60 years while four were between the ages of 30 and 59.

17 females including 13 above the age of 60 and four between 30 and 59 years of age also had succumbed while being infected with the novel coronavirus.
