59 COVID-19 related deaths have been confirmed today.
The Government Information Department said the deaths were reported to have occurred yesterday, the 29th of September.
28 males and 31 females were among the victims.
47 individuals, 20 males and 27 females, were 60 years or above while 11 persons, eight males and three females, were between the ages of 30 and 59.
One female was identified as below 30 years of age.
Accordingly, Sri Lanka’s coronavirus death toll increases to 12,906.
