Another 953 persons who contracted the novel coronavirus have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals, raising the number of recoveries to 265,708.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 21,631 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities across the country.
The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in the country remains at 291,298 following the detection of 1,721 patients yesterday.
