Sri Lanka’s COVID cases tally increases to 394,355

Sri Lanka for the second consecutive day yesterday recorded more than 4,000 coronavirus cases.

Sri Lanka for the second consecutive day yesterday recorded more than 4,000 coronavirus cases.

4,355 new infections were identified yesterday. Accordingly, the total coronavirus caseload increases to 394,355.

4,353 individuals were identified as part of the New Year cluster while two individuals who arrived in the island from overseas recently also contracted the virus.

2,222 individuals were discharged after recovering from COVID-19 raising recoveries to 344,381 yesterday. T

he Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 42,412 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities across the country.
