ANURADHAPURA (NewsRadio); Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena says Sri Lanka will be able to successfully tackle the economic crisis with the support of the International Monetary Fund.
Speaking to media in Anuradhapura, Prime Minister Gunawardena said the government has a plan to overcome the on-going crisis.
The Premier noted that the present administration is receiving support from several countries to overcome the crisis.
The Prime Minister noted however some factions with vested political interests are seeking intervention from international bodies.
The Premier said certain individuals have gone to the United Nations Human Rights Council to complain against the government.
Meanwhile, during his visit to Anuradhapura, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena paid homage to the historic Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and received blessings.
