COLOMBO (NewsRadio); A group of officials from Thailand is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on Monday to hold talks on the proposed Free Trade Agreement.
A spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance informed NewsRadio that the third round of talks with Thailand will begin next week in a bid to fast-track and finalize the FTA.
Although lengthy discussions were held between the two countries, in 2018, they were suspended and the FTA did not materialize as planned.
In addition to the FTA with Thailand, the Ministry of Finance under President Ranil Wickremesinghe is working on finalizing FTAs with India and China within the year or early next year.
