COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Sri Lanka is on course to welcome 100,000 tourists for the fourth consecutive month.

A total of 102,545 tourists arrived in Sri Lanka in January, 107,639 in February while 125,495 foreign nationals were welcomed last month.

Meanwhile, according to latest data issued by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, 87,316 tourists have arrived in Sri Lanka thus far in April.

Meanwhile, the SLTDA said in April, the highest number of tourists arrived from India.

A total of 15,282 Indian nationals have arrived in the country thus far in April.

Meanwhile, the SLTDA added 12,729 tourists from Russia, 7,625 from the United Kingdom, 6,734 from Germany, 5,025 from France, 4,368 from Australia, 3,767 from China and 2,989 individuals from the United States also have arrived in Sri Lanka this month.

The SLTDA said a record 125,495 tourists arrived in March. Accordingly, 422,995 tourists have arrived in the country so far this year.
