Sri Lanka was bundled out for a paltry 204 in the first innings of the second Test against the West Indies at the Galle International Cricket stadium.

Resuming on 113/1, the Lankan batters could not add even 100 runs to the overnight tally in the morning session, as the visitors picked up nine wickets before the lunch break.

Spinner Veerasammy Permaul who came into the playing XI only for the second Test finished with impressing figures of 5/35.

His scalps include Pathum Nissanka for 73 Dhananjaya de Silva for 2 and debutant Charith Asalanka for 10.

Left-armer Jomel Warrican had 4/50 and his returns include Angelo Mathews for 29 and Dinesh Chandimal for 2.

Yesterday, after winning the toss skipper Dimuth Karunaratne put on 106 for the first wicket with Nissanka before being dismissed for 42.

Only 34.2 overs were possible yesterday due to heavy rains.

Sri Lanka is leading the Test series 1-0 after winning the series opener by 187 runs at the same venue.
