Sri Lanka clinched their second win in the T20 World Cup warm-ups by registering a relatively comfortable 39 run victory against Papua New Guinea.
The Lankans put up a score of 162/5 and then managed to restrict Papua New Guinea to 123/7 in their 20 overs.
For the Lankans Pathum Nissanka top scored with 73 while Avishka Fernando once again contributed with 61.
Papua New Guinea however could not put up much of a fight as they were dismissed for 124 runs losing 7 wickets in the process.
Dushmantha Chameera and Wanindu Hasaranga bagged two wickets each while Dasun Shanaka, Maheesh Theekshana and Chamika Karunaratne claimed a wicket apiece.
Sri Lanka comes into the second warm-up game following a tight fought win over Bangladesh on Tuesday.
Chasing 148, Sri Lanka slumped to 79 for 6 in 12 overs, before Avishka Fernando made 62 off 42 balls and Chamika Karunaratne contributed 29 off 25 balls to put together an unbroken 69-run stand to seal victory with one over to spare.
